Donald Morrison

Chairman of the Board

Don Morrison is the retired Chief Operating Officer of BlackBerry/Research In Motion during the high-growth years. Prior to BlackBerry/Research In Motion, Don undertook a number of senior leadership positions in Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East with AT&T and Bell Canada. Don is currently the Chair of the Board of the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was a previous Board Member of Yellow Pages and Mastercard Foundation, as well as the Founder and Chair of the Board of Ontario Global 100. His family foundation, Morrison Family Foundation, primarily focuses on medical advancements that help children in need and gives struggling communities the skills and tools to support them. Recently Don and his wife, Debbie, built a nursing college in rural Kenya following many years of philanthropic work in Sub Saharan Africa.

Keith Gillam

Vice Chairman

Keith served as CEO and Chairman of Vanbots Construction Group for 16 years. Under his leadership, it became one of Canada’s largest private construction firms, executing multinational landmark projects. Currently, Keith is the Chairman of Gillam Group Inc., a construction firm listed as the fastest growing company in Canada on the Profit 500 ranking. Keith has served in numerous executive roles including Chairman of Carillion Canada, Chairman of the Toronto Construction Association and Advisor to the Minister of Finance of the Government of Canada in 2008. Keith has an impressive record of community involvement and received the Queen II Diamond Jubilee Award in 2013 for his contributions to Aboriginals and Educational Causes.

Phil Kenny

Director

Mr. Philip B Kenny was Executive Vice President of Kenny Construction and President of Kenny International. The Kenny Organization was a worldwide firm operating for over 75 years on large complex construction projects. The firm was sold to Granite Construction, a public company in 2012. Mr. Kenny is currently President of Northgate Investments, involved in the development of nearly five million square feet of office and industrial projects. Mr. Kenny was the Founder and Chairman of One on One Sports, a radio company with six major market stations and over 465 stations in syndication. It was sold to Paul Allen of Charter Communications. Active in the Private Equity world, he has invested in a number of technology start ups in the construction and development space. He served on the Business Board at Miami University as well as the Board of the Engineering and Technology School at Northern Illinois University. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Business Degree and attended school on a full athletic scholarship.

Patrick Eilers

Director

Mr. Patrick Eilers has over 25 years of investment experience at Transition Equity Partners (TEP), BlackRock, Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC and Jordan Industries. Prior to founding TEP, Mr. Eilers served as a Managing Director at BlackRock, where he sat on the IC for the Global Renewable Power and Global Energy & Power Infrastructure Funds. He also chaired Blackrock’s Energy & Power Private Equity Fund. Prior to Blackrock, Mr. Eilers led Madison Dearborn Partners into the sustainable energy sector, overseeing the firm’s energy, power, and chemicals practices for a decade. Having deployed $1.1bn dating back to the early 2000s, Mr. Eilers’ experience has enabled him to develop an extensive network of relationships with project developers, C-suite executives, M&A bankers, sell-side equity research analysts, and institutional asset managers. Mr. Eilers holds a dual BS degree in Biology and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and earned his Master of Management degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Andrew Gilmour

Director

Andrew Gilmour is a seasoned business leader with over 20 years of experience in the global security and critical infrastructure development industries. He has a proven track record of successfully acquiring, integrating, and managing companies on three continents, and is skilled at creating and managing high-performing teams in a global environment. Andrew is an expert at developing tailored value propositions that address the needs of sophisticated global enterprises and sovereign nations. He has extensive experience operating in multiple financial, legal, and regulatory environments, and is adept at adapting both complex financing structures and existing business processes to drive operational results. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago, where he graduated with General High Honors and Departmental High Honors.

Dela Salem

Director

Dela Salem is a Certified Public Accountant with over 10 years of experience. Currently, she is a board member of The Very Good Food Company, a rapidly growing plant-based food company listed on the NASDAQ with a market capitalization of $250 million. Dela Salem is also the President of a private investment company based in Vancouver, BC with holdings in commercial real estate, distribution, wineries, and technology sectors. Prior to this, she has served as the Corporate Financial Controller for several international mining companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Dela Salem received her BBA from Simon Fraser University in 2009 and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Jose Nicanor Gonzales

Director

Rear Admiral (ret.) Jose Nicanor Gonzales is currently the Rector of UPN, a leading academic institution, part of Laureate International Universities. After a naval career of over three decades including service at U.S. Fleet Forces Command (Norfolk, Virginia) and as Director General of Economy and Finance, Admiral Gonzales became Managing Director of ProInversion (2009) and later Minister of Production (2009-2010) of the Government of Peru. In close interaction with local Peruvian universities and industrial partners, Admiral Gonzales lead the reform towards green growth and sustainable development. A 1979 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis), Admiral Gonzales holds advanced graduate degrees in Ocean Engineering and Systems Management from MIT, and Public Administration and National & International Security from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.

Mathew August

Strategic Advisor to the Board

Mathew August is the Executive Managing Director of a private investment firm based in New York, NY that focuses on global ESG opportunities. Before this role, he was the Vice-Chairman of a Canadian merchant bank, where he oversaw and advised on approximately $1B of transactions across various sectors, including energy, services, infrastructure, technology, media, and biotech. In addition to his professional experience, Mr. August is also an active venture capital investor and serves on the board of several profit and non-profit organizations, including Colonial Energy Capital (where he is Chairman) and Onefluent Inc. (where he is Executive Chairman). He is also a member of the Dream Comes Alive Foundation. Prior to his current roles, Mr. August has held various positions in the financial industry, including Managing Director of Colonial Capital Partnerships, Senior VP of Utilities/Infrastructure at NYEPC, and FX Desk Trader for Olympia Trust Company.
